Camp Description

How do Brook Trout up to 4 lbs sound? This is definietly a reality at Verena Lake. The highlight at Verena really is the Brook Trout fishing as the lake itself is only 3/4 of a mile long. A twenty minute walk along an even trail will get you to the Wakwayoucaustic River. This river is not that large, generally 30 feet across with an average depth of 7 feet. There are two square back canoes at the river for guest to navigate the river. Like Audrey Lake, the Brook Trout fishing is best in August/September.

Portage Lakes
