Camp Description
Located 137 air miles north of Red Lake on the exciting Cobham River System, this 8 man camp offers you exceptional fishing for trophy Northern and Walleye from open water in early spring until late fall ice up. We mean BIG fish. Northern measuring up to 50” have been caught and released on this magnificent fishery. Most common trophies caught and released are between 40″ – 47″. Walleye fishing on the Cobham River is easy. Walleye ranging from 18″ – 25” are very common with many being caught and released between 28″ – 30”. Although the spring fishing is naturally great, the months of July and August produce just as many fish although they are heavier and thicker at this time of year.
This world-renowned fishery averages about a one third mile circle with many arms, bays and narrows opening into medium sized lakes dotted with islands. Altogether better than 40 miles can be traveled without a portage. This river system offers you ideal all-weather protection so that you won’t lose precious fishing time on bad weather days while on vacation.
Built of logs this extra large cabin has hot and cold running water, with a shower, it will accommodate 8 people in solid comfort. With separate bedrooms at the rear of the cabin, a large front kitchen, a dining and sitting area with a couch. A 12 foot gazebo attached to the cabin has the best view of the lake and will fit your entire group comfortably while relaxing. This cabin has a wood heater, solar lights, stove, fridge and freezer and gas grill, plus all cooking and eating utensils. There are also four boats with motors, landing nets, boat cushions and a screened in fish cleaning house and storage shed. Rates include comfortable cabin accommodations, one boat and motor for every two (or three) guests, gas for outboards and return airfare from Red Lake. We supply a satellite telephone for emergency communication.
