Big North Lodge & Outposts
At Big North Lodge in Minaki, Ontario, near Kenora you will find a cedar main lodge and 6 cottages all situated along the shoreline to allow a beautiful view of Gun Lake on the Winnipeg River System. Our family-operated resort was built by your hosts, Pat and Alex Rheault, and opened for guests in 1978. We also operate two fly-in outpost camps on Long and Roger Lakes.
Fishing at Big North Lodge starts right from our docks. Throughout the season, from May to October, fishing is excellent for Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass and there is the ever elusive Muskie for the experienced, patient fisherman.
Big North Lodge and Outposts in Minaki, Ontario, offers hunting for black bear hunting, deer hunting, moose hunting, and wolf hunting. Whether you are looking for black bear hunting, white tailed deer hunting, or moose hunting in Ontario – we have it all!
Enjoy the beauty of a wilderness setting with all the comforts of home. Fully modern cottages, comfortably furnished, can accommodate 2 to 6 people and as many as 10 to 12 in our large 4 bedroom cottage. All have electric heat, electricity, hot and cold running water, private bathroom with basin, shower, tubs and flush toilet.
Also equipped with microwaves, propane BBQ, drinking water dispensers; all linens included. Rates include own boat launching and power at the docks.
Our outposts are clean, spacious, and VERY comfortable. Add to that they have some of the best walleye, northern pike and bass fishing around! You get your OWN CABIN on your OWN PRIVATE LAKE!
