Salvesen Lake is a beautiful 7 mile long lake that lends itself to the fancy of every fisherman. Salvesen is located on the Sturgeon River system, which in turns connects to the famous English River. This connecting river system provides excellent spawning grounds for walleye, smallmouth bass and northern pike as well as a healthy baitfish population. Two of the largest trophy northern pike were caught at Salvesen!
In a word: luxury. The living room has comfy furniture and a propane fireplace. The kitchen is the envy of any gourmet cook with individual thermostats for heat. The indoor shower and flushing toilet are an especially nice treat. The solar system powers the lights and electric fridge. If the day is hot, you can enjoy relaxing or sleeping in the screened-in porch. From your lounging spot on the front deck you have a beautiful view of the lake and can keep an eye on anyone catching fish off the dock!
Salvesen Lake has the perfect recipe for a healthy walleye, smallmouth bass and northern pike population. It features many underwater reefs, weedy bays, islands and rapids that provide the perfect habitat for some really magnificent fish! In a typical day, it is not uncommon for anglers to catch over 100 fish per boat.
