HALS OUTPOSTS is located in the heart of God’s country on the northern half of the Pipestone chain of lakes… just off to the east, by one portage! Loonhaunt is a picturesque and quiet lake with an exciting adventure awaiting any angler. Tompkin’s Island boasts only one camp on it, that’s Hals! This fly-in experience is one that is full of promise and will leave you lost in the wonder and beauty from the start to the finish of it.
Hal Woolsey has been a hunter, trapper and fisherman most of his life! His plane has been noted here and there in the district landing on lakes and when he caught sight of this one, felt it was too great not to share! He has rebuilt the cabin from the ground up and is continuing to improve the area it is located on. It is entirely off grid, fully equipped with an eco-friendly solar system and there are no necessities that are missed here!
The only outpost located on Tompkin’s Island on Loonhaunt Lake, Ontario. This picturesque location in Northwestern Ontario adjacent to the Pipestone chain of lakes.
The cabin will come fully furnished with almost all the comforts of home! It is an ECO-Friendly cabin, with solar power and a fire burning wood stove. There is a hot water shower and sink hooked up inside. There will be towels, bedding, pots and pans as well as firewood if you want to build a fire to cozy up to in the cooler evenings. The items you need to bring will be your personal fishing gear and food. All beverages will require plastic or cans for conveyance. No Glass!
