Experience some of the finest fishing to be found in Northern Ontario. Located 23 mi (37 km) East of Chapleau Ontario, on Ivanhoe River/Lake in the Ivanhoe Lake Provincial Park, is a pristine fly-in only river/lake. At the location of the outpost…the river/lake is 6 mi (9.1 km) long river/lake, with an average of 3/4 mi wide, where there are many bays and islands offering excellent fishing for Walleye, Great Northern Pike and Small Mouth Bass. Some fishermen have caught White Fish. In total, the Ivanhoe River is 274 mi (170 km) long. At the North end the river joins the Ivanhoe Lake which is 16 mi (25 km) long .
There is a Portage at the South side of the outpost. Enjoy a 20 minutes walk/hike on a well maintained trail at the South End of the Ivanhoe River. A boat and outboard motor are available for you to use at anytime. Here you can fish another 4 mi of water and catch big Northern Pike and Walleye.
“The Mini Lodge” is located on Ivanhoe River/Lake and offers many advantages to our guests. Not only are many excellent fishing areas close by – but one of the best fishing is to “Catch Them Right Off the Dock.” Guests have caught and released many times their limit right off the dock. The fishing is that good.
