The Allison Lake Outpost is located 61 miles east of Ear Falls, Ontario (32 minute flight) and will accommodate groups from 4 to 10 with trip lengths from 4 to 7 days. As the most remote outpost, the Allison Lake Outpost is without a doubt our most requested outpost. We will not allow fishermen staying at the Lodge or Margaret Lake Outpost to enter Allison Lake during your stay if the Allison Lake Outpost is occupied.
The cabin has a large kitchen area equipped with a large table, generator, electric refrigerator, four burner gas stove, and a sink with hot and cold running water. Also included is a huge living room area with a wood burning stove, enclosed shower and 3 bedrooms. The outdoor area is furnished with an elevated deck, picnic table, gas burner for fish frying and a gas outdoor grill.
Allison is not a large lake, but it is teaming with fish due to the fact that it is located on the Wenasaga River system. It is not uncommon for each fisherman to catch 100 fish per day! The lake is constantly being stocked with fish from the river system and proves to be a great experience!
Allison Lake has 3 different lakes that are connected together by breaks with rapids, and it is necessary to change boats to fish these separate water bodies. Walleye and northern pike team around the fast moving waters and are very healthy fish with walleye averaging 1-1/2 to 2 pounds per catch and northern pike averaging 3 to 5 pounds per catch, with numerous fish caught above these averages.
Allison Lake is a “For Consumption Only” lake which means there are no take home fish, and trophy fish must be photographed and released back into the waters. Conservation fishing licenses are mandatory. This is to ensure the ecosystem of our waters and is also in cooperation with the Ministry of Natural Resources. Our cabin is the only one located on Allison Lake.
Included in your package is round trip float plane transportation from Red Lake, Ontario, fully furnished cabin with refrigerator, stove, range, hot and cold running water, gas grill and propane fish cooker.
