In 1960, our family owned fly-in business began with a dream, a borrowed canoe and a tent. From that time on, our company has grown on its strength of fine hospitality and service, proven by the many repeat guests who fly out with us each year to beautiful wilderness and superb fishing. Today we own and operate 16 remote fly-in outpost camps, each on a different lake, plus a full service fly-in lodge located on Kagianagami Lake.
As all of our cottages are accessible by air only, one of our Turbo De Havilland aircraft will fly you and your party into the finest Walleye and Northern Pike fishing in unspoiled wilderness you can only experience in Northern Ontario.
The cottages can accommodate from 2 to 10 people and are completely equipped with all cooking and eating utensils, full size propane stove and refrigerator, lights and wood-burning stove.
Several of our cottages also have three bedrooms with solar lights and most of our Outposts now have hot and cold running water plus showers.
Walleye, northern, speckled trout and perch are abundant in the outpost lakes. We are fortunate to have a truly fantastic fishery north of Nakina, with many walleye weighing in at six pounds and more. Trophy northern tip the scales at 25 pounds plus, with the elusive speckled trout measuring 20 inches.
If it is the great grey (lake trout) that you are after, these brutes can be found at the lodge on Kaganagiami Lake. The largest to date has been a thirty-two pounder.
All prices are in Canadian currency and INCLUDE TAXES!
Fishing at KAG is truly an experience you won’t soon forget because of the “fight” in the fish here, especially the walleye. Our guests all say the same thing: “We’ve caught many walleye in our lifetime, but none of ’em put up a fight like the beauties in KAG!”. Due to the depths and cooler water temperatures in Kag, It’s not uncommon to pick up walleye, northern pike, whitefish and lake trout from the same location. Speckled trout of course must be sought after by wading up the Opichuan River, but the work is worth the effort. Be sure to hire a guide for this venture though, to increase your success. Running around this big 20,000 acre lake requires a bit of power, so we have equipped the Kag boats with 15 H.P. Nissan 4 stroke motors. Each boat also has two padded swivel boat seats for your comfort, plus landing nets and minnow buckets. As an added bonus for all guests staying at ‘KAG’, one evening each week the lodge staff puts on a superb Shore Dinner at the large outdoor grill area in front of the lodge. You bring your own fillets to be delicately fried along with french fries, onion rings, salads, home made bread and dessert all prepared by our Lodge Manager Derrick Cressman and the lodge staff.
*** weather permitting of course ***
