Main Lodge

Tucked beneath a hill covered with red pine trees is the spacious ranch style building of “Red Pine Lodge”. The lodge has a pleasant rustic lounge, a large dining room and three modern bedrooms. This is an ideal family vacation center. Here we have lovely white sandy beaches and modern cottages, completely furnished for housekeeping, suitable for 2 – 10 persons.

We also offer American Plan with delicious home-cooked meals served family style. Shore lunches are a must.

Red Pine Lodge is located on the East Side of beautiful Ivanhoe Lake 11 Km. from Foleyet in the heart of Ontario’s finest fishing and hunting districts. This lake with the 27 miles of Ivanhoe River lies among the hills studded with the stately red pine tree. This is wilderness country away from the regular beaten trails of the tourist. It is where one can breathe the clean invigorating northern air, enjoy the long, sunny days, the star studded nights – the Northern Lights in all their glory – the sounds of nature – wonderful meals served family style and the finest fishing and hunting second to none or just plain old fashioned relaxing at Red Pine Lodge.

Lakeside Fishing Cabins

Just a short distance from the main lodge and looking out over the lake are our comfortable waterfront cottages. Our cottages are cozy and can accommodate groups of 2 to 10 people. They are roomy with amply space to store your gear.

The cottages are fully equipped and contain the following amenities, which are considered luxuries in such a remote northern location:

• Kitchen Sink, Full Counter & Cabinets
• Dishes, Pots, Pans and Cutlery
• Large Refrigerator
• Full Size Electric Range
• Kitchen Table and Chairs

• Out front of the cottages is a warm sandy beach, which is great for swimming and will give the kids hours of fun. It’s also nice to relax in the evening around a campfire.

If you do not want to do your own cooking, we have the option to upgrade to American Plan, which gives you your choice of delicious home cooked meals served in our main lodge’s dining room.

Fishing

Ivanhoe Lake has fantastic fishing. It’s considered to be one of the best trophy lakes in Northern Ontario for Walleye, Northern Pike, Whitefish and Jumbo Perch Fishing. We also have drive-to lakes and streams in the area with outstanding Brook Trout, Lake Trout and Rainbow Trout fishing.

Family Activities

• There are lots of activities to do other than fishing:
• We have a beautiful beach with warm clean water for swimming.
• There are hiking trails
• There are many types of bird and wildlife to view
• You can take a boat ride down the river to view spectacular scenery
• You can stop at various places for a picnic
• You can drive into Foleyet where there is shopping, restaurants and other attraction

Outpost Camps

We have three outpost camps for those who want total seclusion in the wilderness. Our outpost camp on Lemoine Lake is a fly-in outpost camp and has awesome fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike and Jumbo Perch. We have two boat-to outpost camps on the Ivanhoe River ( mid river & south river), which also have great fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike and Jumbo Perch with access to the north big-water.

Black Bear Hunting

We are well known for having one of the best Black Bear Hunts in Ontario. Our BMA is over 750 square miles of prime Black Bear habitat. As a result, our guests enjoy an exceptionally high success rate. We have 100 baits set up in all different types of terrain so even people who are physically challenged can enjoy our great hunting. Our Black Bear hunting package is full service American Plan so all you do is relax, hunt bear and have fun.

Moose Hunting

We have great Moose hunting. Our Moose hunting packages all include an adult Bull Moose tag with calf tags for the other members of your party. We have six different Moose hunting packages to cater to your needs. Our Moose hunting guests enjoy a very high success rate for both bow hunting and rifle hunting. Our Moose Hunt takes place in WMU 31 and WMU 30.
