Red Pine Lodge & Outposts operates a drive-to lodge on Abram Lake and a fly-in outpost camp on Christina Lake.

Red Pine Lodge

Our cabins are nestled among some of the oldest and biggest Red Pines in Ontario on the north shore of Abram Lake just south Frog Rapids. The town of Sioux Lookout, just 8 minutes to the east, has many conveniences one would expect in a town of five thousand.

We are centrally located on Abram Lake and we are just minutes north from the “chutes” into Minnitaki Lake. Traveling east on Abram Lake leads to Botsford Lake and the Sturgeon River. Around the corner from us and under the Frog Rapids Bridge is Pelican Lake flowing north into Lac Seul.

Fishing

The abundant fish species in our area include; Walleye and Perch, Northern Pike, Muskie, Smallmouth Bass, Whitefish, Lake Trout, Splake and Sturgeon. Since 1989 our chain of lakes have been under “new” fisheries management. The limits and slot sizes on most species have resulted in some of the finest fishing available. You can expect to catch trophy size fish as well as lots for the frying pan. Just take a look at the Sioux Lookout Master Angler release program! Of course, every year we have fish caught at our outposts listed and the 2013 biggest Northern of 48 inches was caught at Gull South.

Red Pine Lodge – Cabins

The cabins at the lodge vary in size, holding from two to twelve people.

All but one cabin have two bathrooms. All cabins are lake view with large decks complete with deck furniture, propane BBQs and fish cookers. The kitchens are fully equipped including a microwave and oven. The bigger cabins have two fridges. We provide all linens and pillows, but you will need to bring your own towels. We also provide Free WiFi and satellite TV in each cabin.

At the dock we have a cement boat launch and boat slip parking with plug-ins for your boat. For fish processing, we have a separate fish cleaning facility with running water and freezer storage space. Live bait, ice and no ethanol gas is also available.

In our rental fleet of boats we have two 17.5 foot Lund Outfitters with Yamaha 50HP four strokes, and one 18′ Tiller Kingfisher Warrior with 50HP Yamaha four stroke, and one 18′ side console Kingfisher Warrior with a 90HP four-stroke Mercury, and also a Lund SSV with a 25 HP four stoke.

Outpost Camp

Christina Lake is a smaller log cabin with a big covered deck. It is about fifteen feet higher in elevation and has a small water fall that flows in Gull South down the east arm. This Lake is a great spot for two to four people. The cabin is solar powered for lights, fridge and water with propane stove and water heater.
